I would suspect 'firm' would be the answer, though not as harsh as a ZT as you will have softer springs on the 75.

This had a diesel connie and ran it over a year 20k with 16/17/18 wheels. Each change up you loose some ride quality but as you know there is a lot of ride quality to spare.

Yeah, I don't find the ride boaty compared to my ZT but it's more a visual thing......I am really pleased with the drive/comfort/power considering she's an 1800 auto ......I am loving it so far

Yep, the larger the rim the lower the tyre profile hence the firmer the ride.

Done it, all I can say is don't. They work fine on a ZT which was designed for them, but they RUIN the 75 ride, you will think you have to replace all your wheel bearings (they give off that sort of noise) also tried 17" and it was better but still bad, eventually went back to 15", much better, it cost me over £1000* to be able to tell you this with any certainty!!

*That's buying 3 sets of wheels (5 x 18" Hairpins 4 x 17" Meteors 4x 15" Unions), having them all reconditioned and 5 Goodyear efficientgrip tyres.

I have recently changed my 17" serpents to 18" 11 spokes but kept the 225-45 size tyres & to be honest the difference is minimal...But from a esthetic point
of view the car looks complete with the arches filled up

Depends what you like in a car, best money I ever spent on my 75 was a set of 18" Straights as it now goes round corners at speeds over 40mph like a decent car should. Before it wallowed round them like a barge, always got round but it was no fun at all.

You do need lowering springs at least as well though (and ZT dampers are a good idea) as they look a bit 'offroad' without them. Get a set of something like Nexan N8000s that have a fairly soft sidewall and the ride is actually no worse than 16" wheels.
