Cdti economy - 600 miles on one tank!
Hi all
I thought I would flag up a somewhat interesting finding. After a 500 Mike round trip to the Essex coast and a week of commuting I still had fuel registered in the tank - a total of over 600 miles between refills!😀 Yes, I appreciate running the tank down isn't a great idea but I couldn't find my cash card!🤔 Has anyone else in 75 land beat this in mixed driving? |

I do a lot of combined driving, motorways, town and so not and I'm heavy footed. From brim to 1/4 tank I've covered 750-800kms. About 500miles??

I thought my 75 cdt was heading towards 750 miles on a tank full, or the digital readout was woefully optimistic until my wife told me she had put £20 in it as she didn't like it going too low!
Was looking forward to posting that haha. |

Well done!
Here's my recent thread about CDTi economy https://the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/s...d.php?t=290884 My eventual total from one tank was just shy of 720 miles. I reckon it just about qualified as 'mixed driving' although I did somewhat pick and choose my journeys so maybe not!! I reckon you can better 600 ;-) Last edited by Tourist; 3rd January 2019 at 20:40.. |

Got to say ... I don't really care what it does to the gallon within reason (35-40) on average (town, m/way, B roads) wouldn't upset me tbh, but as I had brimmed the tank for a 300+ mile round trip I thought I would keep an eye on the trip computer just out of curiosity.
When we got back home it read 53.3 average which was pretty much all motorway cruising anywhere between 65-85mph so was really happy with that, didn't get the chance to run it out as the mrs put £20 in it. haha. |

I think I passed one of you people doing 60 mph in the middle lane of the M6 tonight in their silver facelift 75 - the driver looked smug as I overtook him but I'm betting no one else on the motorway had a good word to say for him....
