Default Nice chat to a new owner with a tourer

Took a look at this tourer in Sainsbury's car park Cheltenham. Man approached me asking if there was a problem. Explained my interest and we chatted for 20 mins. Gave him my number and the forum details and he said he will pay his £10 to join. It was a smart Club SE diesel with manual box. Previous lady owner had loads done to it. Pointed out he had no tyre protectors so he will buy some. He's only had it since 1st June and loves it!

I thought that too until I saw him move them out by hand. Did not dare ask him if the previous owner had paid for a new clutch too. By now it should have had one.

Early cars were recalled to have them fitted. It prevents a broken front spring carving up your front tyres. Easy to get and easy to fit.

Just a quick update. Seen it twice more in Cheltenham since talking to him. I’m afraid he’s turning it into a bit of a shed. We can’t all be the same when it comes to cars.
