Default Location of Lighting Control Unit

Hello folks my number plate lights are not working.

On investigation the the 12v connector within the boot lid has no voltage present. the 0v line connector has good continuity to ground. The Haynes workshop manual schematic shows the 12v feed direct back to connection 17 on the lighting control unit. I want to check that the unit is exporting the 12v and if so the problem is either the crimp connectors or a break in the wire (no interconnector plugs by diagram) I have wiggled the the wiring at flexing point leaving the boot lid and entry into the bot itself, no joy.

So can anyone tell me the location of the Lighting Control Unit?

Regards Steve

The LCM is the unit you use to turn on your lights, located near your right knee below the steering wheel,it is fitted in by three screws, check the terminal pins on the LCM as they are suspect to corrosion

Well now sorted found the break where the wire enters the boot through the flexi tube. When this was done after desoldering and heatshinking connections where I cut the cable to chase the fault I then found issues with the PCB for the tail lamps.
I carefully stripped the boot licence plate assembly apart to expose the PCB and after rubbing clean the contacts with emery paper I then tinned them and re-assmbled.

Rather pleased with myself as this minor fault would have been and MOT failure and a costly fault finding and fix at a garage. Now for a glss of red.
