Default Beware PPD V6 for sale in Gloucester

I spotted a W reg 75 for sale.
Not far from me and open to offers. Clearly the car has issues which can be easily checked on the GOV website.
Unfortunately the seller is not accurate or truthful about its condition and tried to tell me the V6 belts don't need doing until 140k as per manufacturer spec. Current mileage is 70k and it's 24 years old.
I could list the other claims but needless to say I'm not going to travel to see it. Contradicting the contents of an MOT is a bit foolish at best, dishonest at worst.
If you want to try and buy a car for parts or a really big project, I'll pass on the details by PM.

I've just seen an ad for a cdti tourer that is ULEZ compliant. You couldn't make it up.

If it is on disabled tax it will be CAZ and ULEZ compliant. Unless registered incorrectly with the DVLA.

Hi Jamie. I wish this had been brought up last night at the social meet. Is what you are saying, that if my car was registered as a ‘disabled vehicle’, I would be able to go into any area that had a restriction on, with regards to stinky diesels?
If it is correct, it just shows what a racket these restrictions are. By the way, it would not surprise me if it is correct. Have to get me a blue badge. Or does it mean that the vehicle has to be ‘adapted ‘ for a disability? My guess is the later.

No, you must have the exemption from road tax by the DWP that would be included if you have a mobility problem and claim the PIP award for that mobility, the blue badge is immaterial.
Exemption from road tax because the car is now registered as disabled will give free access or passage through any low emission zones.

So the moment it is bought by someone else it reverts back to road tax and non compliance.

You mean some sellers aren't truthful? Look at this ad and then the MOT history! The trader must have been to the Johnson and Trump School of Veracity. https://www.friday-ad.co.uk/jaguar-s.../cars/30442099
