Default 15 inch to 16 inch wheels

Hi all

If a 75 currently has 15 inch wheels, I presume you can just put 16 inch union alloys on without any issues?

Cheers

Does that mean that the 17' serpents that i have on mine should be fitted with 215/50/R17

Rather than the 225/45/ZR17's that are actually fitted?

And what difference do the two different tyre sizes make?

Bendrick I was just going to ask that as my meteors are on 225/45/17. So bountyfull this size is ok then?
Kind regards Ste

Yes both were OEM at one time. The 225/45/17 were post the £1 buyout by Mr Towers and crew, they were a cheaper option.

My Contemporary V6 has 225/50/17 tyres fitted to Meteors. So much better with the extra bit of sidewall. Still handles well too. 45 profile were just too harsh.

Hi Victor you know it's funny you saying that as although I wouldn't class the ride as harsh I had thought until Mr bountyfull had confirmed it that is was normal for the time I thought that they should probably be on 50 rather 45.
Kind regards Ste
