Just read on line we are due to get a new 50p coin, I’m not sure it’s a good idea, seems to me it will be very divisive. What do you think?

No, I believe it represents a total and utter waste of money - excuse the pun - but could be used for much more important demands on the purse.
Remember this is OUR money the Government is spending and should not be on some cheap publicity stunt.

But if we - as I understand it - need to issue new 50p coins anyway- why not mark an event with the issue.
