Default CDTI verses remapped CDTI

Has anyone done a comparison between the two?
The CDTI is much livelier then a CDT for sure. Is a remapped CDTI
just as lively again?

Please explain, I thought you could only go as far as a 160 remap, either from a 114 or a135.

The 114 to 160 is obviously far more noticeable than 135 to 160. The re map makes them go like you'd expect them to, 'driveability' is the highest gain.

Comparing the 116 & 135 ECU tunes shows that they also reworked the throttle maps as well, no doubt to liven it up a bit particularly in the mid range. Picture attached showing the increase on the throttle map from 116 to 135 (note: there's alot more to the mapping than just this)

Further mapping (if done correctly) livens it up even more and can add a decent boost to ~150bhp with a strong torque gain

I'm gonna have to take the two cars out and see for myself.
I don't thrash my cars and so perhaps that's why I've not noticed mush difference.
Perhaps sticking the caravan on the back may show the remaps advantage that bit better.

When I bought my car in 2006 at four years old (The car not me ) It was a std 115,and it was Okayish..after a couple of years I had it re-mapped to the X-Power 135,(This was before the 160 was available) And it was an improvement. Then when the 160 Map became available PhilT4 did it for me and now I know what the car should have been like from the beginning. It it a lot more "Driveable" in all aspects,But the best is when you are on a good road no need to drop gears to over take you just put you foot down and go.........The difference between 115 and 160 is like Chalk and Cheese...

I am quite addicted to the 2000 to 3000 pull when you accelerate , especially in 3rd and 4th.

Aint that the truth, actually feels like it has a turbo, instead of a clogged air filter.
