I was gonna bid on this...
.... but decided against it as I really don't have the room
Looks like it could be a bargain https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2005-ROVE...53.m1431.l2649 I checked with the seller: Hiya. I live a fair distance away and will have to buy 'blind'. Does the car overheat when being driven? I note that you seem to be au fait with Rover 75's and I don't understand why you haven't MOT'd this one. I really don't want to get stuck with huge bills following a successful bid. I hope that you don't think that I am being picky - just like to know. Thanks. Geoff Response: Hi, the car doesn’t overheat, I drove it 150 miles from a deal as a px I’ve got lots of these cars and haven’t the time to sort The car drives fine with no knocks or rattles and I’m sure it will go through an mot ok Thanks |

I would say 99% it’s the crank sensor. Run car from cold and clear all error codes and when hot enough not to start check them again. Or when car doesn’t start if the Rev counter does not move that’s confirmed. Or go onto live data with a half decent obd11 scanner and check rpm on starting.

I thought non starting when hot was the cam sensor not the crank sensor.

The seller has 2 more 75s for sale. Enthusiast or trader?
It does make you wonder if they know somthing they are not saying. |

Absolutely. Also says he has 'lots of these cars' in which case he probably knows a lot about them. Biggest red light is the short description - always a worry for me

Not far from me but I have too many cars. Lovely spec and colour.
It would need an inspection due to a lack of description.

Winning bid £420. The wheels would be worth that alone
