Driveshaft wear.
How can I diagnose driveshaft wear on a manual 75 diesel tourer?
I have a sort of chafing noise, and after looking, I can lift both the shafts, up and down about 2mm. Should they be tighter than this? The discs and brakes seem to rotate with little noise, as I first suspected a wheel bearing. I have read, to drive on full lock, and listen for noise from the cv joints? Regards Paul. |
