V6 will not start
I am hoping some one might be able to help.
My 2.5 v6, 2003, 30.000 miles automatic has been trouble free for the past two years but suddenly refuses to start although it turns over as normal. I am not getting any fuel at the test port (blue schrader cover) although I am certain that the in tank pump is working and the filter seems to be ok and not separated. Would either the camshaft or crankshaft sensor cause this problem. Does anybody know if there is a T4 owner near to my home address in Trowbridge who could possible check for any error codes. Any help appreciated. Barry. |

If all this is so, then there should be fuel at the Schrader valve. How did you verify the filter module hasn't separated? It doesn't have to be in two halves for FFS to raise its head. If there isn't a Fabled Orange Clip on the filter, then I'd strongly suggest you fit one. This will eliminate the biggest cause of sudden non-starting. EDIT: FFS =Fuel Filter Syndrome TC Last edited by T-Cut; 15th July 2019 at 17:57.. |
