Default radio vs heated screen

I know its probably been discussed before and I have found one thread ..and that just suggested cleaning the rear screen :/

put the heated rear screen on and I lose all rqdio channels

has anyone found the exact root cause of it yet ?

Check the ariel connections at the rear screen, if these are not perfect, this can occur.

On the screen is usually the culprit, nthe connections suffer from dampness

seem to just be soldered on but seem fine
just gave everything a wiggle and it came back on

the wires from the screen were sitting under the sunroof drain at a funny angle so re routed them over the top stops them hitting the body
seems to be working for now thanks

is there a spade connector from the screen tot he wire .. looks like it but didnt want to pull it too hard in case it pulled the screen connector off

Mine does this, rather annoying.

I'll check the connections you mention, I'd just started to put up with it to be honest, not ideal at this time of year, especially when the heated window comes on automatically!

Check the aerial filter located on the offside D pilar. Sometimes the wires and connections become burnt.

i didnt think that was a filter

I changed that on the last one as half the screen wasnt heating and it brought it back to life .. but I thought the other side was the filter
