We received our new flight details last night. Our flight is set to go ahead and departure at the same time as before, and looks like we're flying with BA now

An update on our "lost" holiday with Monarch.

Went to see our independent travel agent yesterday.

Instead of going to Spain next Tuesday we are going in 6 weeks.

Same hotel, upgrade to full board Plus [free drinks with meals], same airport,

holiday a bit cheaper, plus the travel agent will bear the loss on our Monarch

holiday and get the money back via ATOL in mid December.

So, it's true there are silver linings behind some clouds.

I realise it's not open to everyone to go on holiday when they like, its a perk

of being retired.
