Thanks Mike, that's good to know.

Sorry to hear about someone nicking a tailpipe finisher off your car, though - beggars belief

Cheers,
Karl.

I never thought these finishers would've been fitted to a ZT, as the bumper trims thereon allow for straight-out pipes, but maybe it was an option specified by the original owner..

It certainly wouldn't be the first anomaly we've come across on the forum

Cheers,
Karl.
It is the original, and still very solid (and 1 piece) all the way down to the flexi. 93000 miles, 13 years old now.

They do look like the OEM parts (from the very few images of same that I've seen) and the back box it came off looked original too (with original strap in place), but there's a brand embossed into them - Vea, which makes me think maybe they're aftermarket

Although the chrome is "aged" to some spots, they seem to be pretty good quality and the little Allen bolts still work fine after 15 years

If anyone has a set of the OEM diesel finishers (Part No. DUB100650MMM), I'd be interested to see how the two compare.

Cheers,
Karl.
Hi Karl
I have the exact same pair on my ZT diesel, but ....... these were original Freelander Td4 OEM rare finishers mate, they do however fit our cars superbly well and are very rare indeed
I’ll post up a picture when I get chance in the week.

Thanks Mick, didn't see that one coming!

Interesting stuff. Right enough, they do seem to fit very well, which is what got me thinking that they might be the OEM parts.

Not OEM, but Land Rover OEM - could be worse, I suppose

Thanks for the info. Would be interesting to see a direct comparison with the OEM finishers, so if anyone has any photos, please put them up.

Cheers,
Karl.

I have fitted two sets of genuine Rover diesel exhaust finishers, one set brand

new from a MG Rover dealership [£37.50 each] and a second hand set.

The allen key fittings are exactly the same as your's

I would say that yours are genuine Rover diesel exhaust finishers.

These are fitted to a Tourer.

These to a 75 saloon.

Both pictures show original Exhaust systems.

It seems to show that the finishers look a better fit on the Tourer than the

saloon.

Brilliant, thanks Paul

That one looks exactly the same shape (with the same Allen key boss) as the ones I picked up. It even seems to have the same angle on the edge where it was "cut off".

Only difference is that you have three of them, and they're new

Thanks again and fair play. Seems these are some pretty rare parts.

Cheers,
Karl.
