Glove box chrome handle
The chrome handle on the glovebox of my recently acquired 2004 Rover 75 (facelift) is quite badly scratched, so I am on the look-out for a replacement chrome handle that is scratch-free.
There are some on eby, but mostly for either the whole glovebox lid or the whole glovebox, which I don't really need, and I am sceptical about whether the chrome on these is as good as I would like, as the pictures are usually poor. I am not sure whether the chrome handle can be removed/replaced just by itself, or whether the latch mechanism behind the handle as to come with it; or indeed if I must have the whole lid (my trim is smokestone grey). Anyway, I'm sure members on here will know exactly what I mean, and will be honest about the condition of the chrome! Contact from anyone with one to sell would be much appreciated. thank you. I am currently scrapping a 04 plate tourer so will check the bits that are left, the glovebox is there somewhere (dash dismantled) and will let you have the handle if i can find it and remove it!

The answer is yes, it can be easily removed, about x10 torx screws hold the front of the glovebox on then just x2 inside hold the handle on. This is for you if you want it, FOC but it does have a few light scratches too.
