Default rover 75 video module

hi to all
the video module fitted to my rover 75 highline started to play up so I bought another land rover l322 yil000322 037138080 unit which was a widescreen unit now the old unit I had when you had the unit in tv mode the tv went off when you released the hand brake but the new land rover unit when you release the hand brake the tv does not go off what is the difference between the two units

Seem to remember it is not only handbrake off but speed sensor related too?

There used to be a setting that you could change on the earlier units that was accessed on the head unit.

Remember changing it on mine so the TV would work all the time

hi to all
found this on the internet
Set ignition to position II
Enter t.v mode
Enter settings
Enter contrast or brightness
When the green contrast bar is visible, push the knob and keep it pressed
Turn ignition off (keeping button pressed)
Wait 8-10 seconds( timing MUST be accurate)
Release the knob
Turn on the ignition again
Now you can watch t.v while driving ( But only for passenger use!!!!! )
tried it but did not work after trying it I thought that maybe it does not work with the mk4 dvd unit I shall try the mk3 to see if it works

Yes that is the procedure but it only works on very early rover 75 tuners it has nothing to do with the sat nav unit

yes I do have a digital tv and radio one I converted my self bought the ptv board and tuner from a company from china and the simplest video unit to convert is the video unit with the ribbon and not with the tuner soldered directly to the mother board the tuner also has a k bus bought the parts from aliexpress it works out cheaper than buying one from carphonics

Hello David,
That Sounds very interesting, is there any chance of a "How to" or a list/link of components to carry this out?
Thank you.
