Morning all, Blooming heck! It's a bit taters out there, that wind is Baltic. A light snow flurry has just rolled through Proper Easter weather then.

Morning all.

Yep, it's gone proper Easter Bank Holiday weather here - cold.

Dry and quite bright though.

Off for a final walk with Zamba this afternoon. Had to rearrange the venue as last thing yesterday we found out that there's a hunt going across the fields we were going to. In the past there was always a courtesy call to let all us "locals" know but that hasn't happened for the last few.

Mind you it might be because we've had the hounds rampaging through our gardens. They're absolutely huge and can jump 6 foot fences. I say jump, more like just smash through. . The "we found it purely by accident" fox had dived into a wood store. The guy that owned it was a compensation litigation lawyer and for some reason they called off the hounds.....

So we're not high upon the Tally Ho...Stirrup Cup...Peeeep di Peeep di Peeeep list.

Have fun today, whatever you do.

Good morning all - and a belated happy Easter to you all.
It's lovely bright sunshine here, but we had a sprinkling of snow overnight, and I reckon the temperature is struggling to get above zero - the water in the bird bath is frozen solid.
Been a weekend of two halves for us - had the new granddaughter and her mum & dad for lunch yesterday - which was the good news. Late yesterday evening the bad news descended on us like a blanket - my brother, who was diagnosed with cancer in December, is now in hospital and unlikely to come home again; his eldest daughter has just started another round of chemo following a second mastectomy (so is in strict isolation) and his younger daughter has chronic asthma, so can only contribute a little to the moral and physical needs of my brother's wife due to Covid 19 dangers.
I must admit I feel pretty depressed this morning.

And to cap it all - the missus is watching a Quasimodo/Esmerelda movie on the TV and and all I can hear is the pesky bells bonging
