Lonely days are long
Twilight sings a song
All the happiness that used to be

Soon my eyes will close
Soon I'll find repose
And in dreams, you're always near to me

I'll see you in my dreams
And then I'll hold you in my dreams

At school a teacher would stand over you until you ate the veg, it was always boiled to within an inch of its life to the point of being mush and stone cold

Our woodpecker is a regular visitor, at the feeders a couple of times a day, stuffs itself with sunflower seeds. I can't help laughing at it, very wise woodpecker, why get a headache head butting a tree when there's easy food available I just wish it would hang around long enough to get a decent photo, slightest movement at the window and its off. Only photo I have is of it on the neighbours feeder taken with a DSLR and telephoto lens.

Thanks to Steve and Steve for sharing the Woodpecker photos, dramatic and colourful birds. We get them here but so far I have not been able to take any photos of them.

Can't get it on the feeder just outside the window, any sign of movement and its off!

Afternoon all, Wall to wall grey & even a snow flurry this afternoon I got some more tomato seeds planted after some pesky pest decimated mine and some gardening chores done, I'll end up with a load o green tomatoes this season as there wont be enough season left to ripen them
All wrapped in bubble wrap again as sub zero temps again overnight.

God I'll be glad when these kids are back at school, It's been absolutely bedlam for the past week or so there's only so many times you can stand listening to a football bang against garden fences & steel garage doors.

One of the neighbours has a full skip outside his back gate , these beggers have thrown most of the contents of it all over the service road.

Smoked haddock, baked potato & tinned marrowfat peas for tea tonight.

Usual problem is people putting stuff in skips.

LOL Very similar It was mostly full of kids toys they'd outgrown but also timber, I got enough to make a 6'x4' table for outdoor use. I had to throw the kids off the skip to get at it
