warning light
Ok, story is,Russ very kindly ran a t4 session on my car on Friday, prior to me going to Falkirk,no problems, ran great. On the way home, the yellow engine symbol came on,so we stopped & had a look around, nothing obvious,as the car was running no differently to the journey up,decided to continue.Got home with no problems.any ideas? i,ve pm,d Russ but as yet i,m waiting for a reply,so any extra input would be appreciated.

If it was a diesel I would have some ideas but on a 1.8 a bit lost for this fault I'm afraid.
Another T4 session could well be in order. |

the illumination of the MIL could have nothing to do with the T4 session.
did you experience a slight missfire this is enough to illuminate the light..very sensitive. |

Nothing to do with a T4 session,
I was indicating that a T4 session again, may show the reason for the MIL light if no obvious fault condition. |

Mine has a habit of coming on for no apparent reason-usually when on the motorway. No change in performance for me either. I knock it off with a code reader and just wait until it happens again. Been thru' 2 MOTs so I'm not too concerned. Guess I'll sort it one day. But another T4 should show the fault for you.

Well, you wouldn,t believe it! went to see Russ again today & guess what? the b...... light went out!So Russ did another t4 check & the conclusion was that on the trip to Scotland through a monsoon, water must have got in to one of the 0xygen sensors, causing the symbol to illuminate.Consequently,as i went through a certain number of stop/start conditions(which apparently cancels the symbol) couplrd with the car drying out, the light went out! No faults on the t4,the car is running perfect. So big thanks again to Russ & moral is (for me) don,t panic! & don,t go out in a storm.
