Default Zed the Ted in Essex, September 2017

Zed has arrived in Leigh on Sea, Essex.

Here he is, still wearing his sailing outfit after his stay with coolcat which included a trip on the Norfolk Broads, but Zed has made sure he has his jumper handy in case the weather turns cold.

It is 4 years since he was last here, and he has showed me his passport with the impressive list of places he has visited.

In the next few days he will be riding in at least 2 Rovers. I haven't told him where he will be going yet, but I think he is quite excited.

Follow his adventures here over the next few weeks.

Today Zed did some cleaning. He was allowed to use some posh polish (well, wax actually).

Just when he had finished and was posing for a photo it started raining so Zed was quite annoyed.

But then Zed was pleased when he noticed the excellent beading.

Tomorrow Zed will be going on a journey. He does not know where to yet, but he is quite excited.

Here is Zed getting ready to go on his journey today. He fancied sitting in the back, and thought it was a great idea that there was a telephone in case he needed to make any calls.

But then he noticed that in the front there was some interesting walnut trim in a place that he could not remember seeing before. He thought it looked very nice.

He wanted to sit here for the trip...

.... but then he decided that it might not be very safe, so he sat properly and put his seat belt on.

After about an hour Zed arrived at a place that claims to be the oldest recorded town in Britain. We pulled over so that Zed could use his phone to take a photo of one of its famous landmarks.

Can you guess where it is?

Here is another famous landmark, much more modern than the other one. Zed thought it would be a good idea to pose with the car in front of this well known cultural institution.

Normally cars are not allowed to park here, but it was Sunday so we sneaked for a quick picture and then made a quick getaway.

Even though I do not recognise the landmark, I assume it has to be in Colchester.

Before setting out on the next journey, Zed checked a Very Important Thing and found that it was ok.
