Genuine diesel exhaust finishers? DUB100500MMM
Came across these on a diesel breaker and gave them a quick clean..
They do look like the OEM parts (from the very few images of same that I've seen) and the back box it came off looked original too (with original strap in place), but there's a brand embossed into them - Vea, which makes me think maybe they're aftermarket Although the chrome is "aged" to some spots, they seem to be pretty good quality and the little Allen bolts still work fine after 15 years If anyone has a set of the OEM diesel finishers (Part No. DUB100650MMM), I'd be interested to see how the two compare. Cheers, Karl. Last edited by The Mighty Quinn; 16th October 2017 at 21:23.. Reason: Sorry, wrong part no - should be DUB100650MMM. |

Thanks Ravinder.
Yeah, it seems the genuine items are quite rare, but there's not much info or imagery available on them, so I'm not entirely sure that they're the genuine article or not. I have a stainless cat-back system on at the moment, and whilst it's fine, I think the two end pipes are too wide for the 75. These finishers look nice and understated. Took a pic of them on the breaker car before removal.. Cheers, Karl. |

Thanks Keith.
I really ought to send them over to yourself for a proper clean, though Just spent half an hour on them this evening and they came up ok, but might give them another rub if they're the real deal Cheers, Karl. |

Don’t do that. They’ll end up yellow...

Thanks for the info, Alan
Here's a pic of the steel back box that the finishers came off, which shows how small the steel tailpipes were.. (not completely sure if this is an OEM back box or not, but I think it is). This results in a nice (limited) showing of the finishers, once fitted (previous pic). Cheers, Karl. |
