Default Not so lucky this time.

Probably had around five 75's to date, none of them required the rear upper arms replacing....this one does. An expensive outlay on a 17 year old car but worth doing, rest of the car in really good condition.
So...make me feel better, how many of you have replaced them? All our cars are of similar age so I'm guessing quite a few of you.

Cool

Banana has had replacements done just once. And she will be 17 years old in April.

Did mine at the end of last year. Did the subframe and everything at the same time. Old parts are still sat on the driveway waiting for me to get around to taking it all to the tip, and seeing how badly it's deteriorated just sitting there, I'm very glad I didn't leave them fitted to the car any longer. Very large holes in the arms now!

Both mine replaced at 20 years old. Luckily, after a good wire brushing and a bit of a soak with plus gas, all the fixings unbolted OK. Everything rustproofed and new bits fitted.

Both my cars have had them replaced. The saloon ones I have been able to renovate as I caught them early but changed them for expediency. The tour ones were not dealt with when I got the car and a year later I poked a hole into one of the arms

It seems (with a diesel) these arms and the clutch are THE most expensive parts to replace. So if you have new arms and a new clutch then your car should be quite 'futureproof'.

Also had upper rear arms replaced early in January next month the beauty will turn 18 incredible car, a work of art in a way! At the moment I am thinking about a replacement, searching Fb. I guess that my next car will be also a Rover. The other day asked Carplus for assistance in comparing car finance deals. Hope that till my next B-day I will already have a new car

How did a 75 end up in Canada - i thought Slovcans ZT in British Columbia was the only one in Canada - your car must be an extreme rarity on the roads of Canada.
