As its always been the advice to not touch the Cheap end stuff and get a genuine Bosch , Anyone had experience of the DMGRS cheaper end MAF's.,

Quote the bosch maf bumf on their site "Cheap MAFs on the Rover 75 / MG ZT CDT / CDTi can cause over or under fueling, poor running and other issues."

I got this one a couple of months back, took the sensor out and put into the old unit on the car. Works a treat and if I have to replace it in 2 years time then so be it, a small price to pay for such a cheap unit. Would take 6 to 8 years and 4 changes to reach the price of a BOSCH unit

Going by ATAF4049 its an AlphaTec unit. Even though its a straight swap and the whole unit fits perfectly, I just removed the sensor and replaced the original. Car has done only 500 miles with it on but the engine never performed as well as it does now, Power/performance is up and so in fuel econ. I did have a new CAT fitted at the same time so that might play apart as well. That was another bargain from bankrupt stock that only cost £33 Brand New for the full pipe. Oh would like to add just in case I get the Nay sayers going on about the MAF. The car went in for its MOT on Saturday and passed with flying colours, no advisories and had an emissions reading of 0.35 at idle and 0.55 at 4500rpm. The limit is 1.00

You can unplug the MAF in which case it'll definitely overfuel and it will still pass the emissions test, lots on here have done that

What I can say is that over the years I've seen lots of cars fitted with just about every aftermarket MAF and not one has matched the airflow readings of the original Bosch units.

That is a good price and the discount code works, my car has been family owned since it was 3 years old so I'm pretty sure it's the original MAF in it, the car runs great so without plugging it into a machine I don't know if mine is bad, never a problem with emissions as Russ says, I did unplug mine once and it ran just the same but it put the eml on.

If you need a MAF and a Bosch one at that then this is a good deal from ECP.
