fastest 0-60
I was looking at my Rover 75 Contemporary Se CDTi and it says it does 0-60 in just over 10 secs. I'm pretty sure it does it in well under that. Next time my girlfriend is in the car I'm gonna give her a stop watch and time it.
Any one timed it themselves in a 75 or a MG ZT. I wonder what the fastest time is, and what car and spec it is? Jay

when 0-60 times are done, remember that on most cars in the uk, the speedo is a little optimistic. couple that with the fact thats its 0-62 (100kph) then to obtain a true time, you will probably have to get to 67mph, sometimes more, to be accurate to the manufacuteres tests. when 0-62 is measured, they use proper speed recording equipment, so it is spot on. youd be suprised how much extra time it takes to get to nearly 70 on the speedo

50-70 is a better test in a torquey diesel and in that respect mines does
50-70 in 4th a tad over 5 secs 50-70 in 5th a tad over 6 secs This is with a synergy on 10,air-mod,pipercross filter and egr bypass compared to the official 50-70 in 5th which is around 9 or 10 secs these figures are not that far off a v8 but with 45mpg instead of 18mpg,obviously doesnt sound anywhere near as good though |
