Default Rain sensor element

Does anybody know how the rain sensor element is fixed to the windscreen please?

I believe it's stuck on (with rain sensor adhesive no doubt).

The optical part is bonded to the glass...

There's always a way of removing things.
The problem arises when you want to put them back !

Don't forget that if your screen meets with an accident, you will get a nice new one including sensor.

Yes m8, Anything on the original windscreen must be replaced by autoglass etc.

How about the black plastic box which covers the sensor David? Can that be removed please?

I can't remember ever removing an MGR one but other manufacturers usually just 'clip' on
