Default Cooling fan

When I put my AC on the cooling fan runs which is correct but it is very noisey sounds like an aero engine is there anything I can do e.g lubricate ????.

mine used to make a racket only on turn off though ,sounded like a hovercraft ,changed my resistor and it hasnt come on since ,fan runs quite quietly really now i have to get out and have a butchers to see it is running ,im sure one of the more techie guys will be along soon ,

Hi David,

You car is 2006 I understand, so it's likely that you will have the two speed fan system. It sounds as if your slow speed may not be working due to failure of the series resistor. If you perform a search on this forum you will find lots of interesting reading. You can repair it yourself very cheaply if you're technically minded or member Jules can do it for you. It's not a question of lubrication I'm afraid.
