Checked everything last night. Gusty wind but every now and then the sky goes black and get a blatter of torrential rain. There's one just arriving now!

The lifeboat and coastguard helicopter are heading to a Spanish fishing boat in trouble off the Orkneys, apparently had the wheelhouse windows smashed by a huge wave.

I don't envy them their job........brave souls indeed putting themselves in harms way to rescue those in peril

Hopefully all will be okay for the trawler men and their rescue team!
