Apols - it's actually quite a way back in the thread. freddie's pic I think? Quite a nice one (although I would say that!)

Have you still got her on the Broads?

If so where are you moored?

We are at Acle Marina

Great boat Jeff. Congratulations

Looks like it is very well fitted out with all mod cons on board and inboard engine as well - what engine does she come with?

Morning Mike,

I was reading through from the start of this thread and I can't believe barely six months after buying our Viking the boating bug has bitten so bad we have already upgraded

All the help yourself, Weso and Astraeus gave us built our confidence and we are loving it.
I'm going to be taking my DSC/VHF radio operators licence in March as well

The Shetland has a Yanmar 55hp common rail Diesel engine and benefits (I hope) from having a bow thruster.

She has full shore power with 3000watt invertor for mains electrickery when 'off grid'

The Galley is fully fitted out with hob, oven, fridge, microwave and wait for it.......wine/beer cooler

She is six years old and has been kept in tip top condition coming complete with a winter canopy as well as the summer one you see fitted in the photos

We are picking her up on Friday and very much looking forward to the weekend on board .

Thanks again to all those on this thread who have contributed and helped us find a new vocation

On the Waveney. I sail mostly on the southern rivers, which I prefer not just for sailing reasons, but we get up north at least once a year. I love getting above Potter, and above Wroxham and Ludham, where the bigger cruisers can't go. Peace and quiet, and the best scenery on the network...

That's a decent sized boat Jeff, very nice indeed, plenty of space.

Why the significance of the picture of the loo?
Or didn't your last boat have one!

I went back through the posts and found the wooden boat going under a bridge with it's mast down.

Oh, I see.

Yes, I know some boats, the toilet facilities are rather cramped.
Same goes for caravans that I have stayed in.

Let's put it this way......to pull your trousers up or down involved opening the door and standing at right angles
