Default Cdti engine vibration on tickover?

Just replaced the rear engine mount that was shot but engine vibration at tickover is worse!
Small touch of accelerator smooths this out. Can the idle speed be increased on 75 cdti (54 plate)?
Any useful ideas?

Yes you can increase or decrease the idle revs using T4, and also you can balance the injectors at idle to improve smoothness, which might also be useful for you.

I did to mine quite a few years ago. I have now replaced the hydromount and the sweet spot has moved so will need to do it again over the week end.

A steering damper also made a difference to mine (Behind the airbag)

How does one balance the injectors?

It is an option on the T4 diagnostic. At idle the ECM knows the acceleration of the crankshaft as each injector fires from the crank sensor input.
It can then adjust the injector timing to balance the acceleration from each individual power stroke to help the engine idle more smoothly.
