Default "Err" shown on trip mileage counter

Stopped for fuel today and after starting the car the mileage trip counter showed "Err". The rest of the trip computer was fine and recording data as normal.

Not sure if a simple on/off cured it as i had to run for a plane. Any ideas?

Dis-connecting the battery will probably cure it.

I can get very odd readings on the OBC if for some reason the first turn of the key doesnt start the car and I try again a bit quickly. Usually the range figure rises to ridulous fgures.

Putting a little more fuel in the tank corrects the readings

Mine does that sometimes, If I turn the ignition on and off normal service is resumed.

Noticed it does it occasionally if I don't wait for the glowplug display to go out.

Mine does this from time to time also. I think it doesn't like it if you turn the key too quickly.

Plenty of discussions about this on the other site. Have a look and do a search. Basically nothing to worry about.
