It's been a cold wet miserable day here, Rod would have been upset that I've now got the heating on full blast. Penne pasta with ham & veggies in a white pasta sauce with a garlic baguette for tea

Evening all, a lovely sunny day here today, attended the funeral of a workmate who was killed at work a few weeks ago, a good send off although a sad waste of a young life.

Cool

Morning everyone.

A glorious start to the day with a beautiful sunrise, but it is a tad chilly.

The gutter over the front door must be full of moss as that's north facing & doesn't get the sun, I thought a joint seal had gone but water has been cascading over the length of the guttering Another job that will have to wait until my back improves.

A drone equipped with a camera would be useful for inspecting guttering, roofs and anything up a height.

OOooo!!! That's a sore point at present! I bought one around a month ago for that sort of job as we had a roof tile missing & I wanted to try one of these drones to access the job.
This drone had twin HD cameras forward & underneath & smart ar$e me thought he'd try it out indoors out of the wind to get used to the controls, within 10 seconds I flew it into the wall & broke it I chucked it in a drawer & there it's been since the day it arrived.
I should have asked a kid off the street to fly it up there & video the job.

That was my job for this morning! I couldn't believe that the moss had filled the gutters in the 12 months since I last cleaned them. The local seagulls had taken to fishing out the slugs and snails that had taken up residence in there too, so quite a weight of "stuff" plus seagull poo to make it a very pleasant job - not!

I found it easiest to undo the clips and take it down section by section, clean it and replace with new rubber seals on all the joints. The rain diverter was also full of moss, so that had a clearout too. My neighbour thought that I had fitted new guttering!

Luckily, it's a bungalow, so after my previous fall off the steps earlier in the year, it has been a confidence booster!

They had the same concern with the flying bedstead, constrained I think by a gantry arrangement until they got the hang of it. Maybe a drone could be tethered in some way by string/cord while basic control of it is mastered. Any broken props might be replaced with spares from a model forum if not available from the manufacturer of the drone.
