Hi Ceedy,

Not at all after a battle ! We all know about Canucks !
You did well ! A Pioneer !

Just want to see you guys get the value for your money. You did okay, Just want to offer my services (If Possible). I have access to the newest and Bluest and Cheapest and deepest and experience with many models. (About 4 Years Now)

The Market is ever evolving. I was around when BLUETOOTH was the big thing. And those units would sell for 700$ with Bluetooth !

PIP is the newest Gig,
And The Virtual CD Changer too
The detachable Panel has certain advantages, especially in Big Cities.
The On Screen Buttons is cool and In My Opinion Practical too.

And we Do have a Good Guarantee for Y'all !

Sean

But I also wanted built in DVBT,not an addon box .

also never quite grasped the desperate need some peeps have for TMC ??

But in the end the Price was the real killer for me , just too expensive

If they were 250 or under, would have dived in earlier!!

But hey , each to their own !!

Chris

PS this one ere' seems to do everything the ones above do ?? except drive a CDC , or lose their front ,

Mind you I've not delved that deep so far .

PPS.. Not after a mines bigger/better than yours battle here !!

Really? I currently use a Navigo SatNav running TomTom 7, I assumed any of the Windows CE SatNavs would run TomTom 7.

TomTom is a pre-requisite - i've tried iGo, Garmin, Turbo Dog etc and TomTom is the one I prefer. Using TomTom 7 atm, and would really want TomTom 8 but 7 will do.

Price range... well as low as possible, really, it depends.

I love my SatNav, but I wish I had a larger screen and that it looked more "sleek" and OEM instead of being on a rubbish cradle all the time.

I would also like to have a USB and Aux input, ideally on the back to hide all the cables...

Bluetooth isn't a massive issue - I already have a Bluetooth kit in myt car (although i'd replace it if I got a contact picture come up as well...)

Outputs - all I need is the ISO pins and an RCA for my sub.

CD or MP3 aren't that important if I have USB or SD, although a CD Changer would be nice (but certainly not a deal breaker).

I don't really need TV, or DVD, I would never really use it.

iPod functionality isn't that important (don't own an iPhone).

RDS is something i'd like very much.

I'm not sure what TMC does - if it works with TomTom and it's free, it'd be great, though, but I have a TrafficMaster ECU in the post...

Luckily security isn't such an issue round here to be honest.

I would love to, but alas £300+ as the exchange rate slowly worsens is a lot to spend.

I have been trying to get TT 7.910 working on the Chinese DD but to no avail. The problem is audio clipping.

After several hours of research I have given up. There are numerous webpages given over to the same problem. It just will not work on Sean's double din running WinCE5. I also tried it on a tablet PC running WinCE6 and it wouldn't run due to an "out of memory" error. This last problem is fixable, apparently, but I prefer iGO and just gave up on TT.

Wait so you mean TomTom 7 doesn't work on the uber expensive units from Sean either?

Tomtom 7 Does not work correctly on any Chinese unit at the moment.

A couple of years ago we had the Options of Tomtom 6 , and it worked but the maps were quite out of date.

We can get these Universal types in around the 250's

Biggest that you will get is the 7" Screens.

Done

Bluetooth isnot an option anymore, it is a standard feature on all 2 DIN units now

Would have preAmp Output

CD Changers are So passe nowadays with IPOD, SD and USB

Again Standard Features Not really deletable
