Default Heater not working

Hi,

My heater seems worse than useless. Did search a couple of threads and someone mentioned car getting to temp really quickly but was unclear on what this indicated.

My temp gauge is at 9 oclock after about 3 minutes!

All pointers appreciated
Cheers

There could be air in the cooling system which causes a poor heater. Sometimes the heater matrix can also become blocked with silt from the cooling system which usually causes the heater to be warmer on one side than the other.

Try bleeding the cooling system and if that fails maybe consider removing and cleaning the heater matrix. There's a helpful guide in the how to section.

Rik.

Hopefully. When mine was iffy it was in part due to air in the system (failed waterpump) and also silt from a bottle of K seal. The waterpump was done a few months ago and fresh coolant added and the system seems to be clearing up with use so there is hope.
