I am a member of various Fb motoring groups, and I came across this earlier today from the "Rover 75 & MG ZT owners" although not for much longer. I would guess some others here may have already seen this, words don't often fail me, but.......................

He's banned on here and rightly so.
Pity the police weren't called with him behaving like that in a public place.

Judging by the posts, no.

Apparently someone has reported him to eBay which has resulted in a 30 day ban, one of his reasons for the vid, plus being criticised for breaking a salvageable car. Twisted logic!!

it is very sad - obviously for the car - but that a grown man can actually do that.. doesn't say much for his level of intelligence does it..

Not saying I stick up for him but it’s his money and ultimately his car and his life. If he wastes it fair enough. But reading on the Facebook group someone, apparently from the forum, has reported every single advert of his for “being sold outside of eBay” which I must admit is a bit of a lie. When it comes to selling he seems to do it by the book. He’s registered with the taxman for a start so this is his income. A 30 day ban means that he can’t really earn, and as a consequence can’t provide for his child. I believe his child was also taken into care after a prank phone call was made to the authorities, and that was also believed to be someone from the MG-R community, not necessarily pinning that on this forum though, so please don’t misconstrue.

I guess he’s a bit crackers, and flies off the handle but I can see why he gets irate, and I can also see why you, as a forum of enthusiasts get wound up to see this happen to the cars that we are supposed to be passionate about.

I can genuinely see both sides and I don’t really want to get involved but I think bygones should be bygones and both parties need to let it drop.

I’ve had my Facebook account banned because someone is snooping around within the “Rover 75 & MG ZT Owners” Group reporting everybody. I’m on a 7 day ban now which is affecting my business as a musician and performer as I can no longer reply to enquiries so I’m loosing money too.

It’s all getting way out of hand and the whole situation is frankly pathetic.

I’m sure a lot of you will turn against me for even saying the above, but I can’t help but think this post doesn’t help things, especially when people are saying things like “he’d be lying flat on his back minus a few teeth”. Comes across very bad indeed, and makes you look like your lowering yourself to his level which I’m sure isn’t your intention.

As I say I really want to stay mutual here and sit on the fence as I don’t wish to upset either party, but I felt I should have a say.

Have a good evening, all.

Kind regards
Robson
