Default Spluttered to a start

The car fired up first turn as usual this morning then spluttered to a stop almost instantly. Took a little while to fire up again with my foot flat on the accelerator but it fired into life eventually with a degree of blue smoke before running clear. It staggered a bit so needed to keep the revs up.

I have started it twice again since with no issues

Any ideas FFS I think is not the issue as the car is 2001.

Of course this all happens first thing on a Monday morning with a poorly cat in the car attempting our journey to the vets never a good time and I really need to be in work with so much to do.

Missed the vets appointment now sat waiting to go for a 10:00am slot and will take the fiesta just in case it fails to start and bring me home
