Default Warm front

On my 75 the temp display shows a temperature which is about 5dc above what I think is the actual temp also discovered today that my mirrors seem to be warm all the time.

Any thoughts you tech dudes?

Thanks in anticipation

Mirrors stay hot all the time. Permanently on.

My temp guage is also a bit optimistic, I suspect it may be the location of the sessor getting warmed by heat from the engine.

Mirrors could just be either the Sun on them if Chromed or the Heater element permanently on inside.

Can't help you on the Temperature front,
#unless the probe/sensor needs changing as Inaccurate?

It has been known for the temperature sensor to come adrift from its locating bracket on the inside of the front bumper. It will then dangle nearer the radiator hence picking up residual engine heat rather than just ambient air temperature. You could drop the engine tray and look up to see if you can see anything dangling about but I dare say you might have to release the front bumper to see properly.

Are you sure? On the ZT they are only warm when the rear screen is on.

No sun today John

Can't speak for the 260 Tim, but on the other varients, definately on all the time, while the key is in Second Position.

Page 39 in the Handbook refers. (If you've got handbook!)

yep just checked in both manuals page 32 in the 75 one and 33 in the 260 one. I'm sure the 260's has been cold.

You learn something every day.
