Default whooping noise

when I,m idling it sounds ok for a little while then goes rough then goes back to quiet, while doing that tonight it made a weird whooping noise.for about 1 second,
the clutch pedal felt like the rubber had come off,but it hadnt, the throttle felt like it had stuck halfway, didnt seem to want to go any more, the clutch issue and the throttle issue happened at the same time, while driving,
any ideas, dont want any major problems just before Beaulieu. would rather sort it out asap,
HELP

Rover /MG whooping or whale noise is usually the aircon equalisation valve going off, is normal and doesn't signal any problem. They all do it, depending on temp/conditions.

Clutch is probably unrelated, however if it is the clutch , it needs more diagnosis.
