No they are not needed the unit is plug and play so even a non highline tv and radio setup is not needed. Bung them on eBay should pay for your new unit. I'm watching these with interest at the moment as hopefully in the not to distant future I'll get one of these.

Having just bought a Civic with all the toys including voice activated DVD sat nav for the wife I am going to have to order one now
My current set up is a Symphony with Lo Line sat nav and in the past I have retro fitted Trafficmaster and a hands free phone from Les. With this unit I may leave the TM and bluetooth in place as they work ok or should I just remove them and use the units own set up? Any thoughts guys? |

Thanks David.
Hi David, the same with mine, no battery. I spent 3 hrs trying different wire setups. But to put the piece of plastic in the remote makes you think it's there. I don't know how long it would have taken me to find this one out. Thanks David.

After consideration I would like to buy one of the units you still have in stock, i.e. non rds/tmc unit. Have been on your website but can only see listing for the new unit. How do I go about ordering the old unit please? Also I have sent you a pm with a couple of questions regarding the unit if you could clarify them please then I would very much like to order one of the older units today. Kind Regards, Coolcat (jeff) |
