If I know what I'm doing I don't mind experimenting especially if I know I can get back to where i started from using a backup. Although I have updated quite a few computer BIOS chips over the years and always have that knot in my stomach that it won't boot afterwards. but in 14 years of working on them I've only had one mishap.

Of course, I'm booked for a T4 check at the Four Ashes this weekend so if I get stuck I'm sure one of the guys will be able to sort me out.

Arrgh!, I don't know what happened there Phil, I'll try again.....
The binary at the top is for a standard V8, the one below with fuel consumption. In a standard IPK, the highlighted hex would be 20, change this to 21 and write the eeprom Brian |

I've got a trip to Russ next week and would like this done, as he is installing an IPK to my poverty spec clocks.
As the whole IPK thing is new to me, is this speed reading an extra option from the button on the stalk? It doesn't replace the other options, does it? Thanks. P.s. what does the IPK actually display?

It is an additional thing it won't replace anything, it displays a second trip length, mpg, range, average speed, you can set a speed limit, and obviously you will have digital speedo, it also displays door open warnings, bulb failiure etc
