Tomato and basil soup, with a sprinkling of caramelised onions. With Cheese Toasties!!!!

That would be my guess Jeff.

Even a couple of potato wedges, or a Lincolnshire sausage or two on the side of the plate.

NOW YOURE TALKING

I'm having panacalty

I like your style, went a bit more simple though

Cream of wild mushroom soup, sprinkled with loads of pepper and parsley, with some nice malted bread liberally spread with butter

Well, put that in your top pocket for another day Jeff.

Ill send you the recipe if you want, its simplicity itself.

Top Tip, Morrissons or Asda meat free Lincolnshire sausages are a great "healthy" alternative.

And after 12 years as a Veggie (eating meat again at the moment, albeit temporary) I still think they stand up to the best meat ones on the market.

I don't do meat free
I have the dubious pleasure of my Brother and his family being Veggie and being constantly told this and that is just as good as the real thing.......it ain't

I'd be interested in your recipe though
