Boot lock woes
Hi all,
Recently my tourer boot lock has been playing up. When I lock the car, it beeps as if I have a food open, but nothing is open. Then when I unlock the car (press the button twice) the boot won't open. All the doors and the rear glass open fine, but the boot itself doesn't. If I unplug the battery for 20 mins, it cures the problem, for a couple of days. Any thoughts?

Try adjusting the rubber door stops. They harden as the weather gets colder and don't allow the door to rest fully closed.

The tailgate has Micro switches in the mech that take a lot of abuse when the it shuts.
Vibration when it slams. the only way I cured mine was to take the lock off and clean it properly. A can of compressed air, PCB cleaner and clean cloths. Hasnt gone wrong since........but maybe Im lucky |

When the boot won't open, the boot release switch in the cab does nothing either?

Stoppers
Hi There
On the boot lid there are a pair of stoppers basically they are a pair of conical rubber pillars that set the distance I found a half turn on these (Unscrew) to set the lid a little higher cured the problem I had which was a hammering noise as it tried to release. That was well over a year ago now without recurring. Adjust these and see what happens simple fix. I hope this helps chap. ATB
