Normal shocks make absolutely no difference to ride height, they just damp the bodies oscillation to prevent bounce - hence they are often called 'dampers'.

Would that explain why my car scrapes the top of speed bumps? The "dampers" not working efficiently?

It can do - they are quite 'soft' as they are, but if they don't provide much resistance the problem will be much worse.
I guess you'll see soon...

I've just looked at the link to Best of British, and their other springs for the 75 and can only see saloon rears, not the tourer, I thought they were different ?

I've just looked at Rimmers website and the various part numbers and colour codes for the tourer and saloon rear springs are different. Hopefully they are interchangeable, that would make life a lot easier for us tourer owners. Anyone have a definitive answer ?

I've messaged the supplier and asked them. If I've purchased a set of saloon, I will have to drive to Darleston on Saturday to swap them. I will let you know once I have a reply.

That said ProfDave does state that they were for a tourer? In the post with the link.

Well if your shocks are fine why don't you get the moto-build lowering springs for £162 inc delivery?
