I wouldn't fit the metal slave or master period..........

Mat at DMGRS has original AP LHD master cylinders at a very reasonable price, and either LUK or Delphi/AP slave.

I can only speak from personal experience, and that of the Tazu items is not a good one.

At the end of the day though, the longevity of the finished job is entirely dependent upon the correct care being taken during the fitting process, and the quality of the parts employed.

I have some concerns over the metal slave - the release bearings are not always properly greased at the factory, and the machining on the body is not always that good. I think they may also transmit a bit of noise into the cabin on the diesels.

My current choice would be AP/Delphi slave. I am not sure that Mat at DMGRS stocks these- you may have to go to ebay or a factor like Andrew Page to get one. I think the Tazu master is OK apart from the copper pipe - you can replace this with a flexihose, but it is a bit of a faff. I now have a genuine Rover master on my car, but these cost 150 pounds plus in RHD form - as Brian says, you can get a LHD one for much less and swap the pipework over.

Let us know what you choose and how you get on with the clutch change.
