Easyparts_uk. Just go to eBay and put in ‘sills for Rover 75’.

I just welded in a galvanised full inner sill to my P6 with butt welds, no problems. The galavanised(mild steel) sill will last much longer than bare mild steel. Used a quality face mask though to minimise any potential contact.

Ah yes but the standard OEM bodyshells are galvanised anyway aren't they? ie dipped during the pre-paint process, hence why they have lasted so well.

I wonder how well they fit ? Having done some classic car restoration over the years, I know all too well how badly reproduction or even 'so-called' OEM quality body panels can fit. You often have to take a hammer/hacksaw/grinder/jack to them to get anything near decent alignment.

By the price I would guess they are pressed in small batches using the Kirksite process, the way we do sills for the P2 & P3 Rovers. However, this process does not give a very good definition such that subsequent hand-working is necessary, certainly it is with ours.
It would be interesting to get a firsthand report of them and also to compare them with a genuine panel - Rimmers are selling a complete bodyside for the same money! |

Unfortunately the area that appears to suffer the worst is after the rear jacking point, which is not the simple shape offered here.
