Nice one Mike he would have liked that

Oh no, how awful he was genuinely one of life's nice chaps.
Always a pleasure to speak to, my condolences.

Default Sincerest condolences

Hi so sorry to have to hear of your loss, and also our loss of a fellow owner.

Having the car as the third is a fitting tribute for his last journey.

Rip from myself and Avril my 75.

Thanks all.

Dads car will be coming home with me after the funeral. Though I can’t afford to insure it at the moment I will be keeping it in the best condition I can. I amigine I will become a more involved member on the forum and if I can insure it next year I will come along to the meets.

Dad had planned to go to the midlands nano meet at the start of October, both of us were really looking forward to it. But sadly he passed the day before. 😩.

Not only was he my dad, but my best friend too. We did everything together, I bought a rover just so I could have shared interests, but had to trade it in for a truck when my job changed. Now he’s not here anymore, everything I seem to see or do reminds me of him, from the tv programs we used to watch to the scrapyard I pass most days where we found his FBH, real wood dash, as well of many other parts for the car he loved so much. I will miss dad for the rest of my life.

Dads funeral is on The Wirral on Monday 22nd. If anyone is local, and knew him, you’re welcome to come along, just drop me a message and I’ll provide all details.

I wanted to say a big thanks to BigRuss, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. You have been a very good friend to dad, a friendship that started from the love of the car, but continued past that, I know you spoke regular on the phone and he enjoyed going to visit whenever he could. Again, thank you Russ.

Sorry for the long message, got a bit weepy and my fingers wouldn’t stop.

Mike

Thank you, I’m glad we got to the bottom of the clutch problem and he managed to drive it a few times with a smile on his face.

I’ll be servicing the car with the service kit he purchased from you in the coming weeks.
