Default Message for DMGRS

Hi Mat
Sorry to post on here, but no answer to emails and no phone number available so I'm left with little other choice... I'm waiting on the backplates that I ordered on 27th December... it's getting urgent now.
Thanks

Same with me.
Had a message off him before Xmas saying that my Struts would be here by the end of the week then nothing, parts ordered on 18th.. Car in bits, £260+ out of pocket. Anyone got any ideas how to contact him?
Getting desperate now.

Don't worry

A bunch of people (especially one indignent busybody from NI) will be along shortly to tell you that everything's OK and that a phone number isn't provided because customers would have the cheek to bother the supplier by actually using it.

Heaven forbid that customers should bother someone they're buying goods from with enquiries.

I'm not knocking Mat, he provides a fairly unique service in supplying hard to find parts... and the prices are usually good. He's also good about accepting returns.

It's just that every order I've placed has been delayed somehow even when I've paid extra for express delivery (and I accept that I may just be unlucky). I know he's not a proper motor factors, but if he could just sort out the delivery side of things I would certainly place more orders with him. I'd happily pay extra for urgent orders for a guaranteed next day delivery such as Royal Mail Special Delivery.

Like I said, not a moan, more constructive feedback

I am not sure, but I seem to remember Mat saying he would be on holiday until sometime in the new year, so that may be the reason things are running late.I never order anything from anywhere around holiday times for that reason. Just hang on everything will be ok i’m Sure.

Totally ludicrous .If he's away he shouldn't take orders .Why people persist and bull this company up is beyond me .He is not the only person in the world who sells MGR spares .As for having no contact details then saying that he doesn't wish to be contacted at all hours .Yes 24hrs calls are not acceptable but an answer machine will soon sort that out .Im sure I will be criticised for my comment but quite honestly I don't really care .I have contacted the forum owner about traders or non traders and still not received a reply .It seems that if your face fits and you are part of the cliche you can pretty well do as you please on here .

I've sent emails and messages via FB Messenger, I get the standard, we will get back to you within 24hrs, but nothing transpires.
Mat is active on Facebook with posts over the last few days, all I'm asking for is a tracking number to get an idea where the parts are.
Thanks for the reassurance, but I have a car up on axle stands which is now overdue its MOT, and I have to now rely on someone to take me the 60+ miles to work.
Not a great situation to be in.

Agree - I always seem to have issues with orders from DMGRS - they go missing, or take a week or more to arrive, even for items advertised as 'same day despatch'. I will now only use Mat for non-urgent items. He really ought to offer a phone number, even if it is only for use in 'office' hours. As you say any complaints to the club management about traders are usually ignored or re-buffed, as I know to my (great) cost when I have raised concerns about a certain clutch fitting 'god'.

Oh, Happy New Year by the way !

Cheers

Pete

I know how you feel .Why on earth people fall for the excuses given for late arrival, missing parcels etc etc is beyond me .Courtesy costs nothing .Most people on this forum run a perceived "nice" car on a tight budget and when parts are ordered they are needed to enable them to go to work and earn a living .The deja-vu attitude towards buyers is deplorable. As for the "Thanks" for delivering a part as per contracted delivery.I am baffled. Its a business They should be thanking you for their custom .Also in business no one does favours .When parts are sold at a "discount" there is still a profit for the seller .Dont be mislead by thinking they are doing you any favours.Businesses don't do favours .Individuals May do.

Hello all,
I'm not aware of any outstanding messages - I'll go digging, as a lot do seem to filter through to our 'spam' folder or are automatically hidden through Facebook etc.
Any PMs on here are dealt with quickly, sadly a lot of messages from other sources seem to go 'walkies' quite frequently.

We were closed between Christmas and New Year to spend time with family, but this was mentioned during checkout by the delivery estimate presented being well into the New Year - we were still answering emails etc.

Good to see tantallon 'on the bounce' as soon as something negative comes up, like clockwork
We have thousands of happy customers, sometimes things go wrong - it's hardly 'ludicrous', more a fact of life. We'll make sure it's all rectified, of course - but don't let that get in the way of your agenda...

If anyone has an outstanding query, please drop it to me via PM so I can check it out now - I'll plonk myself in the office with a cuppa for the foreseeable so I can make sure it's all dealt with.
