Here is a picture of Freddie helming our first boat from a few years back though.
A very much missed friend.

Oops! I should have gone to specsavers, That's great picture of Freddie, really miss Freddie's humour on here, very sadly missed.

LOL there's time yet! there is an Easter sale on at present and if it comes up at 50/60% off like they've been discounting I shall indeed get it.

I'll be there Tuesday.......Going to take the boat out for a run if the weather is nice.
Will be eating on board as I'll probably wild moor somewhere quiet and peaceful for the night.
Bring the boat back to Acle at dawn ready to go to work!

Good Morning everyone nearly afternoon, went to a car boot this morning and managed to pick up a Rover flag and a large grill badge still in it original box for eight quid.

Hi Phil and Jessica if you are reading, Happy Easter to you both, and Phil, Dawn and myself hope you are on the mend, you seem to be having a lot of bad luck health wise, surely it has to improve at some stage.

Sometimes the eyes are good and sometimes they are not. Never thought I’d get shingles

I have not been on the OC much because of the virus getting inside the eyes. The pain is not always there but when it is, it is like someone hammering an ice pick from the eyes into the back of the skull. I am on powerful tablets to deaden the nerves.

My last treatment of the day is midnight. I flush the eyes out with sterile water using a big syringe .....insert 3 eye drops of steroids and antibiotics into the eyes.....Wait 15 minutes, then rub optical antiviral ointment to the underneath the eye lids. This blurs everything up whilst the medication is fighting the virus. I have to do this every 6 hours every night and day.

I have an appointment next Wednesday at the hospital to see the consultant about the treatment and to get more analgesics. On Thursday I am seeing the eye specialist. I have been doing everything, they have told me to do. I hope he has good news.....The past 3 nights I managed to get about 6 hours of unbroken sleep and the itching of the skin has stopped. I think that is progress and the peripheral vision is improving. When it was bad, the vision was going black, but now it is only spotty/streaking black colours when seen against a white background such as the loo basin. I think it’s a good sign and the left eye is almost clear
Sorry to hear of this Phil, its good to hear you are now on the mend. My mother-in-law suffered Shringles which effected her eye, it certainly wasn't nice to see her go through such an ordeal.

All the best.

Evening all, phew! what a hot one it's been today today, If I owned a pair o shorts I might have been tempted to wear em today.

The cars/greenhouse are covered in green pollen, I don't see that often here, must be due to the last three days warm sunny weather.

I cut three thick slices of gammon off a joint with stir-fry veggies for tea, proper good too, washed down with a cold bottle of Henry's cider.

I really pushed the boat out tonight, I had TWO bottles of beer instead of the usual one. I will probably pay for it by frequent trips to the bog through the night.
