Question

Someone mentioned westerns which were once tv staples but sadly no more. It set me thinking of a few names but who can remember others more than these.

Ponderosa: Pistols 'n' Petticoats: Legend: Fury: Custer:

The Rifleman: The Loner: The Road West:

Peacemakers: Pony Express: The Outcasts:

Tombstone Territory: Rawhide:

Johnny Ringo:

Whiplash:

Lovely afternoon up here in Acle.

Cooler but still very nice. Not going to venture out of the marina today, got a few jobs to do on board.
I have a rather nice Pizza to cook and side Salad to keep me going though

Afternoon all, Cloudy and no sign of the Sun today but it's still warm.

Same here Andy! the weathers changing overnight/tomorrow with rain forecast for the rest of the week......back to normal then

There's a lot of pollen & fine dust covering everything here I was going to wash the car but not sure if it's worth it.

Turkey steaks with rice & stir fry for tea tonight, Bootiful

Saturday night was the TV night for Westerns I recall -
Cheyenne
Bronco
Laramie
Sugarfoot
The Big Valley
The Virginian
Branded
Bonanza
Wagon Train
Maverick
Alias Smith & Jones
F Troop (a comedy Western if I remember correctly?)
Gunsmoke
Have Gun Will Travel
The High Chaparral (my favourite)

As you may obviously have guessed - I'm a fan of Westerns - despite the fact that they bore no resemblance to real life folk of that era!
There is a surprising number of episodes of a lot of the series available to watch on Youtube

Be careful using the word 'Whiplash' in posts on here - it has a strange effect on Jeff (Coolcat)
