F Troop (a comedy Western if I remember correctly?)
Gunsmoke

The High Chaparral (my favourite)

As you may obviously have guessed - I'm a fan of Westerns - despite the fact that they bore no resemblance to real life folk of that era!
There is a surprising number of episodes of a lot of the series available to watch on Youtube

Be careful using the word 'Whiplash' in posts on here - it has a strange effect on Jeff (Coolcat)
I loved The Virginian - but I seem to remember it being on a Friday night? It became a programme influenced by the film Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid in that they extended it to about 90 min and had a song in it!

Its being repeated on tv - “The Virginian - Men of Shiloe” - I keep meaning to record a few to see if that old magic is still there.

Good evening Julien and Dawn, thank you for your good wishes for Jessica and myself. Jessica is doing okay and she thinks I reached a turning point a couple of days ago for the better. Of course she is always right

Hi Wes, thanks for writing How long did your Mother-In-Law have her eye Shingles for? Yesterday, I celebrated my 4th week with it. Reading and typing is not 100%

Tomorrow I am
seeing the consultant for a review and the eye specialist on Thursday.

On Monday I visited the dentist after snapping 2 posts supporting a bridge. He said the posts have had it. He could do root canal treatment and put in 2 new posts but with the pressures, he said they would break again. He suggested I have 5 implants and a new bridge for 8 teeth. He said I will need a 3-D core image scan of my jaw to check the bones, to see if it can
take the implants.

The next thing after that would be to extract the broken posts etc, etc. He reckons the whole process would not be completed until December. He very kindly typed everything up together with the costs involved. I told him, I needed to get over the Shingles and to get my eyesight back first

Wes, how are you new dentures settling in?

Some good ones in among that lot, Rod. F Troop was a good comedy western and The Big Valley is one that I've sometimes confused with The Big Country even though one is a movie and the other a tv series. It does not help that both have good theme tunes which to me are in the style of Elmer Bernstein though he composed neither of them but did do so for The Magnificent Seven.

Alias Smith And Jones was a spin-off from Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid, could this be what you are thinking of?

Difficult to talk westerns and not remember Kirk Douglas who is still with us at ... 102.
