Default Rear suspension bolts RYP100150

These are the bolts that hold the rear subframe to the body, part number 8 here:

http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-GRID001553

They are NLA and mine were a swine to loosen when I had my rear alignment done, so they are abit chewed. Does anyone know what type of bolt they are ie M8 1.25?

What put me off there was the price "POA"!

Had a few parts from them myself, been very reasonable.... worth a call.... failing that, we will have to do a scrappy run....cheapest option

Take one out and measure it, also check to see what is stamped on the head to determine the grade. Standard is 8.8. A lot of suspension bolts are 10.9 depending on their use.

These are that rusty I doubt if I can see anything on the head! If I do remove one I will replace it with short 10 grade bolts.

Right I took one out, the length is 60mm, the diameter 12mm. I had in the shed some 10.9 12mm bolts, but these are different pitch at 1.75mm! Seems Rover used either 1.5 or 1.25mm fine pitch bolts! Put the old one back whilst I go speak to a local engineering supplier about replacements. If I can source replacements I will post the exact sizes on here.

Default Bolts

Pretty lazy of Xpart not to source appropriate bolts rather than put NLA

There would be no need to replace them, I guess, if the thread is fine. It is most likely the head that has been "rounded".
Give them some Coppaslip and re-use them.

Well, after buying a thread gauge it seems these are 1.5mm pitch. No engineering supplier nearby has any stock so it's mail order!
